As usual, I kicked off the day with a bit of Duolingo and tackled a Leetcode question. Today, I decided to shake things up a bit. Instead of just solving the question and moving on, I spent the first half of the day working on a conceptual video that explains the Leetcode problem in a broader, more visual way.
Most Leetcode tutorial videos are pretty straightforward—they just show the coding screen or some scribbled diagrams. I wanted to do something different, something a bit more engaging. So, I decided to create a video with snappy motion graphics and visuals to really drive the concept home.
For this pilot video, I chose the question I worked on today: Question 35. Search Insert Position. After solving it myself, I broke it down and started planning how to present it in a way that’s both informative and visually appealing.
One of the bigger challenges was picking the right music. It needed to be interesting but not too overpowering. I went through a bunch of royalty-free libraries, but nothing felt quite right. Eventually, I remembered a music pack I bought off Humble Bundle a few years ago and found something that fit perfectly.
The visual concepts aren’t final yet, but I’m pretty confident that this approach could help a lot of people. I’m definitely planning to continue making these videos. That said, I’ll need to tweak my schedule because this project took way longer than I expected. Daily videos might be a bit too ambitious, but I’m excited to keep refining this process.
