A post after a long long time

It’s been a while since my last post—about 2–3 months of silence. It might not seem like much, but trust me, it’s been quite a ride.

First off, I’ve decided to pause my LeetCode video series for now. While it’s a great way to absorb and process knowledge, programming skills aren’t my top priority at the moment. I’ll revisit them once I’ve landed a job or feel the need to sharpen those edges again. The experience was valuable, and I’m open to creating more if there’s renewed interest.

On another note, the Liar’s Chess project has made significant progress! The core functionality is up and running. I’ve been diving into AWS solutions for this, using Cognito for sign-ins, and a serverless stack with DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway (WebSocket API) to bring it to life. If the project gains traction, I might need to upgrade to DAX or consider running constantly-scalable EC2 instances. For now, though, the serverless model is holding up.

Honestly, this was way more challenging than I anticipated. I’ll share a diagram of how a turn progresses—fair warning, it’s currently spaghetti code. That said, it all makes sense once you play the game!

With the new year here, I’ve set some resolutions:

Daily

  • Keep my Duolingo streak alive.
  • No screen time in bed.
  • write a log on this site.

Weekly

  • Exercise at least 4 times.

Bi-weekly

  • Read a book.

Monthly

  • Publish something: a cinematic, a game, a certification, or any other creative project.

Lastly, I’ve got my AWS Certified Solutions Architect exam coming up this Wednesday. Wish me luck!
